Parkland Medical Center Offers Free Skin Cancer Screenings on May 15 and 21, 2008
DERRY, NH, 4/29/08 Conducted in partnership with the American Cancer Society, Parkland Medical Center will hold two free skin cancer screenings in May at its Oncology-Hematology Clinic, Suite 209, in the Nutfield Professional Building on the hospitals campus at 44 Birch Street, Derry, NH. The screenings will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Wednesday, May 21, 2008 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Skin cancer affects more then one million Americans every year. The American Cancer Society recommends a skin examination by a physician every three years for individuals between the ages of 20 and 40, and annually for those 40 and older.
